Call to Order and Pledge of Allegiance: 6:31 PM
Present: Mike Sikkenga, Chris Bade, Lyle Monette, Rob Gaston
Absent: Greg Rice
Perfection of Agenda: None
Minutes: Lyle made a motion to approve the minutes dated September 10, 2025. Mike seconded
the motion. The minutes were unanimously approved.
Planning Member Reports:
Lyle advised that the Township Board would henceforth conduct board meetings on the
2nd Wednesday of each month, with a start time of 5:00 PM. To avoid scheduling conflicts
with board meetings, the Planning Commission will conduct meetings on the 3rd
Wednesday of applicable months, with a start time of 6:30 PM. Lyle recommended that
Planning Commission members be sent an e-mail reminder of upcoming commission
meetings. Rob volunteered to send the reminders.
Rob advised that the Recreation Committee was awarded the Michigan Natural
Resources Trust Fund grant for the development of the Grass Lake observation decks
and associated structures.
