Regular Board Meeting Minutes
January 11, 2021

Meeting opened at 6:30 PM. (Virtual meeting)

Present: Jeff Abram, Melonie Arbogast, Todd Conzemius, Lyle Monette, Debbie Therrian (all remotely present within Blue Lake Township)

Motion by Lyle, support by Jeff to approve the minutes of the December 14, 2020 regular board meeting. Motion carried on voice vote.

Perfection of agenda: Add “Planning Commission ex officio member” and “Office closed/open date discussion” under Supervisor.

Motion by Jeff, support by Lyle to approve the amended agenda. Motion carried on voice vote.

Reports and correspondence noted.

Agenda Items

Supervisor

  • Planning Commission ex officio member – Motion by Debbie, support by Jeff to appoint Lyle Monette to the Planning Commission as the ex officio member with his term to expire 11/20/2024 at 12:00 PM. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
  • Office closed/open date discussion– Motion by Jeff, support by Debbie for the office to continue to stay closed to the public and to monitor the state for any changes. Motion carried on voice vote.

Treasurer

  • Quarterly investment information update

Fire Chief

  • Monthly report – Chief Knop reviewed the monthly report with the board.

Accounts Payable

  • Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the December 2020 expenses in the amount of $10,347.47. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
  • Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the December 2020 net payroll in the amount of $16,830.96. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
  • Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the December 2020 federal EFTPS in the amount of $3,972.85 Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
  • Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the December 2020 state EFTPS in the amount of $703.50. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.

State Representative Greg VanWoerkom – present remotely. Shared that they would be starting the legislative session on Wednesday. Elections, health care, criminal justice and broadband access are all issues that will be addressed.

Board Comments

  • Melonie – Funding for Farmers to Families will be released soon and we will find out then when that program will resume.
