REGULAR BOARD MEETING
June 14, 2021 @ 6:30 p.m.
Present: Jeff Abram, Melonie Arbogast, Todd Conzemius, Lyle Monette, Debbie Therrian
Motion by Debbie, support by Todd to approve the minutes of the May 10, 2021 regular board meeting. Motion carried on voice vote.

Motion by Jeff, support by Todd to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried on voice vote.

Agenda Items
Supervisor
- Carpet cleaning bid – Motion by Debbie, support by Lyle to approve Doc. #20210614-01 carpet cleaning bid from Stanley Steemer in the amount of $370.00. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- Senior millage funding – Motion by Debbie, support by Jeff to approve allocating half of the Blue Lake Township Senior millage funding to the Viking Athletic Center and half to the SafeSenior Task Force. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- BS&A taxes and assessing on website – Motion by Jeff, support by Debbie to approve Doc. #20210614-02 contract with BS&A to use BS&A Online with Pay-Per-Hit option to update real-time which will include assessing and taxes. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- MADL bookmobile update – Blue Lake Township is scheduled for a Monday time slot from 2:00-3:00 PM. Starting date is being scheduled.
- Office open requirements – July 1 ends mandates and office will return to regular operations.
- Proposed Fire Department SOGs – Motion by Todd, support by Jeff to table decisions on Fire Department SOGs and set up a special meeting to work on them. Motion carried on voice vote.
Treasurer
- Credit card update – Debbie researched the issue and found that it is in the best interest of the township to continue the “no credit card” policy.
- Road Commission report – Debbie reported that MCRC plans to pave Blue Lake Road from Meinert Road to Skeels Road, but the date is not yet scheduled. Plans to resurface Blue Lake Road from Holton Whitehall Road to Meinert Road is planned for September.
Clerk
- Community Forest (clean-up and possible grants) – Jeff is continuing to research what grants are available.
Fire Chief
- Monthly report – Chief Knop reviewed the monthly report with the board.
- Novotny bid – Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve Doc. #20210614-03 replacement of fire alarm smoke and CO detectors in Fire Station 1 due to age at a cost of $595.00. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
Accounts Payable
- Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the May 2021 expenses in the amount of $43,598.78. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the May 2021 net payroll in the amount of $13,601.15. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the May 2021 federal EFTPS in the amount of $3,201.68 Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Debbie to approve the May 2021 state EFTPS in the amount of $653.71. Roll call vote: 5 yes. Motion carried.
Kim Cyr, Muskegon City Commissioner – requested conversation with board which was granted. Discussed police response times to Blue Lake Township.

- Melonie – gypsy moth complaints
