Regular Meeting Minutes

Meeting opened at 6:30 PM.
Present: Jeff Abram, Melonie Arbogast, Todd Conzemius, Lyle Monette
Absent: Debbie Therrian (excused)
Motion by Jeff, support by Lyle to approve the minutes of the September 9, 2019 regular board meeting. Motion carried on voice vote.
Perfection of agenda: None
Motion by Jeff, support by Todd to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried on voice vote.

Agenda Items
A. Clerk
- FY 2019 audit acceptance – Motion by Jeff, support by Lyle to approve Doc. #20191014-01 FY 2019 audit. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
- Insurance policy renewal – Motion by Jeff, support by Todd to approve Doc. #20191014-02 Michigan Township Participating Plan Package insurance renewal from Burnham & Flower at an annual total of $31,266.00. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
- Owasippe Lake SAD update – Bids from contractors in lake management were requested and the bid from PLM was accepted. The attorney will review before being brought to the board.
B. Fire Chief
- Monthly report – Deputy Chief Knop reviewed the monthly report with the board.
- Central Dispatch issuing addresses – Motion by Todd, support by Jeff to approve moving the responsibility of issuing addresses from the fire department to Central Dispatch. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
C. Accounts Payable
- Motion by Lyle, support by Todd to approve the September 2019 expenses in the amount of $14,272.78. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Todd to approve the September 2019 net payroll in the amount of $14,333.56. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Todd to approve the September 2019 federal EFTPS in the amount of $3,353.36. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
- Motion by Lyle, support by Todd to approve the September 2019 state EFTPS in the amount of $780.04. Roll call vote: 4 yes. Motion carried.
Ken Mahoney, County Commissioner, was present.
Board Comment:
- Jeff thanked Blue Lake Community Church for their First Responder Appreciation Service on Sunday, October 13.
