Planning Commission Meeting

The Meeting started at 6:30 PM.
Present were: Jim Cordray, Lyle Monette, Greg Rice and Mark Slater
Absent: Mike Sikkenga
Guests: Two Representatives of the Ford Council
Perfection of agenda: No change
Minutes read and approved for March 8, 2021 meeting.
Planning Member Reports:
Lyle: Reported that Mark was reappointed to Planning Commission; 4/30/2024.
Lyle was reappointed till 11/20/2024.
Mike was homebound for virus exposure.
Jim: None
Mike: Absent
Greg None
Mark: None
The Ford Council had asked for a permit to build a communication tower last year but then changed plans for a taller tower. This change classified the tower as a “Commercial” tower which required a “Special Use” permit. Todd had noted that all requirements were met for a special use permit.
A reference to Special Land uses for Recreational properties was looked at in description of property to clarify a point of use in the new zoning manual. A discussion followed on getting better service in this area.
A motion was made to pass the special use permit and a vote was taken with all four members voting in approval.
